PRIVACY POLICY

Xmas Lights Pros respects your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect when you request a free holiday lighting estimate, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to remove it.

Information you give us

When you submit an estimate request, we collect what you enter in the form:

• your name, phone number and email address
• the property address for the work (optional)
• the service type and your preferred installation timeframe
• your project description (optional)
• property photos you choose to attach (optional, up to five)
• your confirmation that we may contact you about the estimate

Phone calls and emails you send us are handled the same way as an estimate request: we use them to respond to you.

Information collected automatically

To understand which advertising and referral sources bring customers to us, we record the page you first landed on, the page you submitted from, the website or campaign that referred you (including campaign tags such as utm_source or utm_campaign), and a general device category such as “mobile” or “desktop”. We store this alongside your request. We do not store your IP address or precise location with your request, and we do not build profiles of you across other companies' websites.

Cookies and local storage

We store your first-touch and most recent referral information in your own browser (first-party local storage) for up to 30 days, so that a request you submit later is credited to the right campaign. It contains no name, phone number, email address or street address. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Analytics

Third-party analytics (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) is not currently enabled on this site. If we enable it in the future, it will measure page views and actions such as starting an estimate or tapping the phone number. Analytics events are deliberately limited to non-identifying information: we do not send your name, phone number, email address, street address or project description to any analytics provider.

Property photos

Photos you upload are stored in private storage. They are not published on this website, are not used as gallery or marketing images unless you specifically give us permission, and cannot be browsed or guessed at by the public. When our team or an automated estimate notification needs to view a photo, it uses a temporary expiring link rather than a permanent public address.

Who can see your information

Your request is visible to authorized Xmas Lights Pros staff for the purpose of preparing your estimate and performing the work. Staff access requires an individual account and an explicit staff authorization; there is no public sign-up and no public access to lead information. Staff notes and status changes are recorded for accountability.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the business, and they process information only on our behalf: our website, database and private file storage host; our email delivery provider, used to send the estimate notification to our team and (when enabled) a confirmation to you; and, when enabled, an SMS provider used to text our team that a new request arrived. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

• Active requests and customers: kept while your estimate or project is active, and afterwards for as long as needed for service history, warranty questions and normal business records.
• Requests that don't become projects: reviewed periodically and removed when they are no longer useful — our current target is a review at about 24 months.
• Property photos: removed once they are no longer needed for the estimate or the completed work.
• Campaign / referral data: kept with the request for reporting; the copy in your browser expires after 30 days.

Security

Estimate information is stored in an access-controlled database, photos are stored in private storage, and our staff dashboard requires authenticated, authorized access. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to keep access limited to those who need it.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Children

This site is intended for property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date above.
